LOCATION

Mevaseret Zion is a quiet community with all the amenities of a modern town. Located away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it provides an ideal environment conducive to learning and contemplation. At the same time, a short 15-minute bus ride takes students to Jerusalem, the spiritual center of the world. Buses from Mevaseret Zion to Jerusalem are frequent (every 15-20 minutes) and are punctual. A bus schedule is available on the Egged website: www.egged.co.il

CAMPUS

The Kiryat Chinuch (Educational Complex) houses our Yeshiva, the Meretz Kollel and a religious Israeli boys' high school. This kind of campus brings together a diverse group of Jews: Israelis and Americans, Ashkenazim and Sephardim, ensuring that students of all backgrounds will be able to find their niche.

The relationship between the Meretz Kollel and Sha'arei Mevaseret, as well as the presence in our Beit Midrash of our own YSMZ Kollel, allow us to offer our students unparalleled opportunities to learn with older, more experienced talmidei chachamim. Most of our students spend the majority of the afternoon learning with Kollel members, in both chavrutot (one-on-one) and chaburot (small groups).

ACCOMODATIONS

Students are housed in dormitories on the Sha'arei Mevaseret/Kiryat Chinuch campus, all in close proximity to the Beit Midrash and other facilities. Dormitory rooms all contain high-quality furniture, closets, personal safes and airconditioning.

CAMPUS FACILITIES

During free time, students can enjoy a game of basketball or a ping-pong match, relax on the grass, or take a short stroll to the nearby shopping mall.

Students have round-the-clock access to telephones, refrigerators,
vending machines and laundry facilities.

DINING HALL

Tuition includes three meals every day in the Yeshiva's large and well-equipped dining hall, including a rich and varied breakfast, a dairy lunch and a meat dinner. Thursdays' meals are reversed (meat for lunch, milk for dinner), with pizza for mishmar at 11:30pm. All meals are catered by a Mehadrin caterer, renowned for their wide range and wholesome menu.

COMMUNICATIONS

For a nominal fee, students may sign up for a private email account which can be accessed from computers located on campus. Students may also send and receive faxes from our office.
