Rabbi Twersky Publishes First Book

Rabbi_Twersky.jpgMMY faculty member Rabbi Yitzchak Twersky (who also happens to be the father of Shana Aleph student Nechama Twersky!) has just published his first book, a two-volume set called Amittah shel Torah. Organized according to Parshat HaShavua, the book is divided into separate "shiurim" delving into the text of the parshiyot, and providing us with a glimpse of their depth and profound beauty. In doing so, he uncovers the meaning of countless otherwise puzzling comments of Chazal and rishonim and provides the reader with a new understanding of and a heightened appreciation for the text of the Torah that we know so well.Amittah_shel_Torah.jpg

Rabbi Twersky made aliyah one year ago, and taught several classes this year at MMY one day per week. Next year, we are pleased to have him with us in an expanded capacity, five mornings per week in addition to Monday afternoons. We're particularly excited about a new initiative that Rabbi Twersky will be pioneering in MMY - an intensive advanced Torah Sheb'al Peh-based course for two full mornings each week.

To order copies of the new book, contact one of the people below, or Rabbi Twersky directly at ytwersky@gmail.com:
